From total devastation to seeing a silver lining! The longest journey from China to the U.S. is navigating their schemes

For Ms. S of Beijing, she was one of dozens of victims almost ruined by a scam from a well-known domestic agency. Fortunately, with our help, Ms. S overcame her difficult situation and successfully “came ashore” (achieved her goal).

Today, we received the approval notice for applicant Ms. S’s National Interest Waiver (NIW).

However, for Ms. S, the immigration application process over the past few years has been an unbearable experience to look back on, because this was not her first approval. Below is Ms. S’s previous approval letter.

What happened? This approval letter made Ms. S and her family happy for several years, but when her priority date became current, she couldn’t get her green card.

The story begins with a notorious scandal in the immigration industry. Years ago, Ms. S was introduced to a well-known domestic agency that offered to handle EB-3 employer-sponsored immigration. The agency promised to find a suitable employer for her based on her education and professional experience. By securing sponsorship from this employer, she was told she could not only get a U.S. green card but also have a job waiting for her after she moved to the U.S. It seemed like a win-win.

Enticed by this offer, Ms. S confidently signed the contract. Initially, everything went smoothly. After a period of waiting, she successfully received an approval letter and began patiently waiting for her priority date to become current in China. However, when her turn finally came, Ms. S discovered she was unable to obtain her green card.
